Antiquing’s high season gets under way in June, with big shows all across the country. Here are three of our favorites:
June 8: California Country

This one-day show is renowned among dealers and collectors alike as the best gathering of country antiques in California. Held in Los Altos, the show will feature more than 50 dealers with everything from folk art, quilts, and country furniture to stoneware and garden antiques. Show organizers describe the event as having the atmosphere of “old friends getting to spend the day enjoying their common interests in early American country antiques.”
June 14–15: Farmington Antiques Weekend, Farmington, Connecticut

Farmington Antiques Weekend marks its 27th year this summer, and the outdoor show continues to be one of the best in New England. For years this show has been the destination for collectors across the region, as well as savvy New York City designers, who happily make the 115-mile trip. Some 400 dealers will be displaying everything from antique oil paintings to vintage table linens.
June 21–22: Round Top Antiques Fair

The Round Top Antiques Fair is a Texas-size gathering of dealers at one of the best-loved events in the antiquing world. Three venues dominate the scene: the Carmine Dance Hall, the Big Red Barn, and the tent outside the barn. All together, there will be room for more than 300 dealers offering everything from Texas primitive furniture to antique majolica plates.
