Springtime antiquing, indoors and out, offers antiques plus the promise of blossoms.
March 6-9: The D.C. Spring Antiques Show
Washington, D.C.
www.dcspringshow.com
This show presents more than 300 antiques dealers with everything from antique glass to 20th-century furniture. With luck, the cherry blossoms will be in bloom to greet antiquers on the prowl. Organized by the Palm Beach Show Group, the show will take place in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in the heart of the District of Columbia. The admission fee of $12 is good for all four show days.
April 1-4: The 41st Annual Spring Original Round Top Antiques Fair
Round Top, Texas www.roundtoptexasantiques.com
Here's your chance to admire beautiful wildflowers in Texas while enjoying terrific antiquing. Everything from antique country cupboards to retro housewares can be found-in the Big Red Barn, the Continental Tent, or the Carmine Dance Hall.
April 18-19: Boston Antiques Weekend
Boston, Massachusetts
www.bostonantiquesweekemnd.com
What could be better than three shows in one venue, right along Boston's famed harbor? Enjoy more than 225 dealers at the Boston Antiques Show, the Boston Antiquarian Book and Ephemera Fair, and the Boston Antique Textile & Vintage Fashion Show, all held at the Seaport World Trade Center. There's probably not much chance that the daffodils will be braving New England's late spring chill, but you'll be inspired by all the offerings inside, from folk art to first-edition books to homespun textiles.
