Gather in a setting that hearkens back in time with heirloom details, such as unpolished brass candlesticks and hand-embroidered linens. Stars-and-stripes paper shields and paper rosettes dance beneath the chandelier in a patriotic touch.
Instructions for the Shields and Pinwheels:
To make each shield, download and cut out four shields. Crease each shield down the middle, folding right sides together. Using white crafts glue, adhere the shields together, placing them like sections of an orange.
To make the rosettes, download the starred paper. Cut several rectangles. Place two pieces of starred paper back-to-back to create a rectangle with both sides starred; adhere paper rectangles together with spray-on adhesive. Fold each two-sided rectangle accordion-style to make pleats. With the pleats compressed, fold them once in half in the middle. Open the pleats like a fan, and tape the ends of one fan to the end of another fan, like pieces of a pie, until you form a complete circle.
