LOUNGE ACT
A dilapidated chair is transformed into a bed fit for a king (or queen).
Dismantle the chair, cutting the chair back and the legs away from the seat. Build a frame out of inexpensive pine and plywood to the size you need for the bed, adding a lip to hold a cushion in place. The front legs of the chair become the footboard and the chair back becomes the headboard. Use wood glue and screws to assemble the bed. Finish it off with a unifying coat of paint and a washable cushion.
