Paint and glaze your choice of furniture. This is a fun way to dress up the front of a plain bureau or sideboard. You can start from scratch with an unfinished piece, or give something old a new coat of paint. Download a flower pattern borrowed from an antique piece of pottery. Print it out in color, then take it to a copy store to have the patterns enlarged to fit your furniture. (Matthew uses Brochure and Flier Paper in matte white from Staples.) Practice positioning the flowers, stems, and leaves on the drawer fronts using tape until you are pleased with the arrangement. Then adhere them with decoupage medium, which dries clear.
