Declare everlasting love with a wreath of tissue-paper blooms. Purchase a 14-inch circular wire wreath form at the crafts store and wrap it with pink satin ribbon. Then, just like in summer camp, fashion the poufy flowers out of tissue paper and hot-glue en masse to the wreath. For romantic impact, make a cottage-garden variety, including roses, peonies, and lisianthus. You’ll need about three dozen flowers in various pink shades, plus a few green leaves.
Matthew’s Secrets
If you can’t remember how to make this childhood craft, first head to the library or bookstore to locate detailed instructions. Matthew recommends the book Tissue Paper Flowers by Klutz ($17, includes some supplies; klutz.com and at crafts stores).
