New Uses for Velvet
flocked fabrics
Though not true velvet, flocked fabrics impart a velvety feel thanks to tiny fibers adhered in decorative patterns. These more delicate textiles work well for accent pillows. For exotic texture on walls, vibrant colors transform floral and paisley flocked wallpapers, made using a centuries-old process; modern printed versions give the look for less. Use as an accent, papering one wall or above a chair rail, or use scraps to cover boxes.
