Sue Whitney and Ki Nassauer of JunkMarket transform winter sporting junk—snowshoes, skates, shovels, and skis—into fun, rustic projects
Making Tracks
Webbed snowshoes become fit-for-a-cabin memo boards, perfect for photographs and holiday cards.
Sue found a matching pair of old snowshoes for about $35, but you can use mismatched pairs of different sizes, too. Be sure the webbing is in relatively good shape (this project won’t work if the webbing is too brittle). Clean the shoes up a little if you’d like, then hang from the wall with nails. Sue and Ki simply attached their favorite notes, photos, and to-do lists to the webbing with paper clips. Try this project in your office, kitchen, or other visible spot.
