Assemble a trio of old potato mashers; you can scoop them up for $8 to $15 each. Head to the electrical section in a hardware store to purchase wire clamps. Use short nuts and bolts to hold the clamps in place at the narrowest end of the masher’s looped handle. You may need to use pliers to squeeze the clamp together if it doesn’t fit snugly.
