Bring true-blue country style to your wall with this quilted wall hanging featuring hearts and tulips. Cutting out the iconic patterns by hand and stitching small embroidery details ensures the quilt has the same one-of-a-kind quality of the stoneware. Using just three yards of linen fabric, cut a 41-inch-square piece for the backing (allowing for 1/2-inch seams), 16 10x10-inch squares for the quilt front, and four 3x41-inch strips for quilt front border. Download the heart pattern and tulip pattern. Using fusible webbing, cut eight hearts and eight tulips from blue fabric and iron them onto the 16 squares. Stitch the squares together, alternating patterns, using 1/2-inch seams. (Squares should be 9 inches square when finished.) Sew the border strips around the perimeter of the squares, using ½-inch seams. (Quilt front should measure 41 inches square when finished.) Place the quilt front onto the backing fabric (right sides facing) and pin in place. Stitch a 1/2-inch perimeter seam, leaving a small hole to invert the fabrics. When assembled, hand-stitch small embroidery details to the corners of the squares. With leftover fabric, sew a simple sleeve to the back of the quilt if you with to hang it on a rod.
