Paint and stencils bring stock bins to life.
Snack Box bins come ready to assemble from Ikea, so you can paint the panels before you put them together. We chose a palette of rose, blush, and golden hues in a combination of light on dark and dark on light to create a patchwork design.
Make your own in 4 easy steps:
1. Apply two coats of base paint color to entire surface—no priming necessary.
2. Hold the stencil in place with spray glue. We mixed and matched stencils in different designs and sizes to give each panel a different look.
3. Start stenciling! Brush from the edge of the stencil toward the center for even coverage. We used a small chip brush, but a 1/2- to 1-inch brush will work. A stencil brush is another option, but it will take longer. Let the stenciled area dry completely before putting stencil back down to fill in gaps in color.
4. Assemble box with dried, painted panel according to manufacturer's instructions.
Here's a list of the materials you’ll need to complete this project.
