SERVING UP STRIPES

An old plant stand converted into a handy little bar cart looks flirty and fun in a new coat of green. Once the stand has dried, use a pencil to draw on stripes as desired. Mark off center stripe with painter's tape and brush with a lighter green hue; let dry. Tape off the accent stripes and paint a darker shade of green. For the base, have a piece of glass cut to fit the wicker crossbars, or paint a piece of medium-density fiberboard.
