Our green guru, Danny Seo, shows you how to turn tin cans into stylish organizers using cork.
All you need is a roll of cork shelf liner, a scissors or crafts knife, and a hot-glue gun to transform empty tin cans into functional desktop organizers. For larger items, use old coffee cans; for smaller ones, use soup or vegetable cans. Measure the height and circumference of the can and cut out a strip of cork to match. Attach to can with hot glue. To tack notes and photos to the sides, glue several layers of cork for a thicker base. Natural fabrics or leftover wallpaper are other good choices.
