A trip to the scrapbook store will yield dozens of black-and-white patterned papers, ribbons, punches, decorative-edge scissors, and doodads to make each of these projects. Mix and match them for a one-of-a-kind decor that’s simply boo-tiful.
Pinwheel
12-inch length of 1/4-inch-diameter wooden dowel
Black acrylic paint
Two coordinating 8 1/2x11-inch sheets of scrapbook paper
Spray adhesive
1/8-inch hole punch
Large black brad
Hot glue gun
Paint the dowel black and let the paint dry. Spray adhesive onto the wrong side of one sheet of scrapbook paper. Aligning the edges, smooth the second sheet of paper wrong side down on the adhesive side of the first sheet. Trace around the pinwheel pattern on the layered paper and cut out. Punch five holes through the paper shape as indicated on the pattern. Bring the rounded ends of the paper shape to the center, positioning the outer holes over the center hole; do not crease. Thread the black brad through the holes and wrap the brad ends around one end of the dowel. Use a dab of hot glue to secure the brad to the dowel.
