Use decorative-edge scissors to trim the edges of the plates, creating various sizes of black and white circles. Make a stack of plates for each side of the spinning disc, layering the plates from largest to smallest and alternating the colors. Hot-glue the plates together with right sides up. Hot-glue a button to the center front of each layered stack. Hot-glue the stacks together with wrong sides facing. Punch a hole near the edge of the disc. Thread cording through the hole and hang from the ceiling at desired height.
