Katie likes to welcome her guests with a hand-made “welcome” sign. It sets the tone for the inside decorations. Plus, it’s easy to make and inexpensive when you use flea-market vegetable crates and scour for twigs outside.
Materials:
Wood vegetable crate top
Twigs
Fake leaves
Rope
Gold wire
Gold spray paint
Tools:
Hot glue
Wire cutter
Scissors
1. Spray paint twigs and fake leaves gold and allow to dry.
2. Spell out "Welcome" with twigs on crate top and glue down.
3. Glue leaves to a couple of letters.
4. Cut a three to four foot length of rope.
5. Wrap rope with wire, with extra attention to ends to prevent fraying.
6. Attach rope to sign by twisting ends of gold wire around the wire on the crate.
