Cap a towering arrangement with a seasonal paper lantern, purchased at an import store. Fill a tall vessel, such as a vase, goblet, or an iron plant stand, with branches of colorful bittersweet to make a nest, and then tuck the lightweight lantern inside. To make the trio of small pumpkins, pick squash in graduated sizes. Remove the stems of the larger two. Thread a bamboo or metal skewer through the middle pumpkin, then poke the ends of the skewer into the top and bottom pumpkins.
