These citrus refreshers take advantage of Helene’s ruby-hued oranges. Try them with tangerines as well.
1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
Ice
2 cups blood orange juice
2 cups sparkling mineral water
1 1/4 cups pinot grigio (fruity white wine)
8 sugar cubes
Blood orange slices
Mint sprigs
In a pitcher crush the 1/2 cup mint leaves with the back of a spoon. Add ice, orange juice, water, and wine. Place a sugar cube, orange slice, and mint sprig in each of 8 glasses. Divide wine mixture evenly. Serve immediately. Makes 8. |
